Haru no Hate [Josh]

Taylor knew that she probably should have been with Joshua today. She was irritable after someone had been using her pictures in a way that she didn't want, she'd gotten in trouble with someone else for punching them when they'd said that she should wear shirts with lower collars so that she could show off her breasts, and it was usually a training day for Maxax, the little Axew coming along rather well for all the distractions and shortcomings they'd been through together. A large part of her actually wanted to take that first step through the large black curtain only a mile or so away from her current position so that she could actually go train with her companion out among the other Pokemon on the isle of Hephaestus since, for some reason, no wild Pokemon ever intruded upon the island of Morpheus, but instead, she held herself here, whistling her little dragon companion away from a crushed can on the sidewalk. "Behave, Maxax," she muttered, scooping up the Dragon-type and placing him on her shoulder, tugging her jacket a little closer to herself while her skirt swished under her, something that would have had her feeling awkward even if they weren't bathing suit bottoms designed to cover the upper thighs to preserve her sense of modesty. She'd worn jeans, leather and vinyl and denim, for so long that it felt odd wearing anything different; she'd even worn male swimming trunks and a swim shirt over a female bathing suit for the longest time. And as awkward as the trip to the stores alone had been, she'd at least had the comforting reassurance that Joshua would appreciate the effort. Sliding down one of the access ladders at the bridge proper, she then set Maxax down on the sand, watching her Pokemon dart off to waves, the Axew always loving to play in the cold waves that would touch the shores of the Romantic Isles. With any luck, Joshua wouldn't take too much longer to find the note she'd left at their apartment and come down to the beach. It was entirely impulsive... but she wanted to surprise him with her bathing suit. Something told her that he'd like it, and it had been a while since she'd last surprised him, so really, she didn't see any reason why this could be a bad idea.

Taylor Joshua didn't even know what had been going on, really the boy could sleep like a bear hibernating when he really was exhausted. As he had been lately, for reasons he didn't quite get. His pokemon was settled by his side, the cute Espurr just snuggled up to him like a pet would. But he saw this little creature as more then a pet. It was his friend, best friend not counting Taylor. She was something else entirely. What did upset him was waking up to find she was gone .Where had she gone this time? Taylor really knew how to just pull disappearing acts randomly out of the blue like that. He didn't enjoy this. He would rather have her wake him up, or at least say where she was going. But that made things just too easy for her. Joshua sighed, slipping out of the bed to grab his pants and put them back on. They had been friends for so long. And now they were more it couldn't bug her that much that he didn't sleep with pants on. Too hot for that lately. He'd rather sweat to death in his sleep to keep her comfortable. But he didn't say that. Joshua only whistled as the small pokemon jumped off the bed and landed on his shoulder. What would he do today? After he found her of course. Because he wouldn't be able to do anything else until he found her. Or at least that was how he saw it. Joshua worried for her more then he'd admit. Just settling into his clothes he slipped the belt around his waist, made sure the pokeballs stayed in place. Then he moved to walk out of the room. After again making sure he had everything of course. He had a habit of leaving smaller things behind, and getting locked out. Well he'd rather not deal with that again. Instead the boy just glanced around. Now he had to find Taylor. Wherever she went. It would be awkward enough asking people about her. When she wasn't that great around strangers. So she probably might have pissed some people off. So why would they help him? Not that he needed them to, he'd find Taylor on his own as he always usually did. It couldn't take him that long to actually find her at this point. He had almost left without seeing the note, till his pokemon grabbed it and dropped it in his shirt. Well it seemed she had run off to the beach? For what reason. He only blinked and scurried off to the beach with his pokemon on his shoulder. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. The Espurr just jumped off of his shoulder once they got to the beach and rolled around in the sand. Playing in the sand while he approached Taylor and just sorta hugged her from behind in one of those lame ways. Till he realized what she was wearing, his face light up and fell back into the sand. "Woah I dig the new clothes, wearing some new for me again?" He wanted to tease, but he knew how she felt over girl clothes. So he'd leave most of his teases for later when they were home.

Taylor was quiet, watching Maxax play in the waves while she thought. Maybe... maybe this hadn't been the best week to pull some surprise like this on poor Joshua. Now that she thought about it, he'd seemed so much more stressed than usual, and usually they weren't home for very long before he was curling up in his bed, his boxers hanging low on his hips. The thought of her sleeping arrangements for the past few weeks made her blush, but she didn't particularly mind. After all, she liked being able to sleep next to him, and besides, it wasn't as if she was dressing too much more fancy with one of his longer shirts on her and a pair of boy's boxers that she was careful to keep separate from his - they were a size smaller anyway, so it wasn't as if it was easy to mix them up - and with the air conditioning unit knocked out for a few weeks during a heat wave, she saw no harm in him doing without his flannel pajama pants, at least for the moment. She slipped off the pair of black flip-flops, leaving them near the ladder back to the main bridge, and then padded through the sands, standing where the waves would lick along her feet, making her shiver from the temperature. The water was actually rather pleasantly cold, but the heat from the air around her kept her feeling rather warm, though she didn't want to go out into the surf, not with the jacket still tucked around her body, hiding her torso from the world. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even hear Maxax's greeting to her lover's Espurr, not aware of his arrival until his arms came around her. She jumped, muscles tensing instinctively in her surprise, even if she soon relaxed against him, the faintest edges of a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "So I see you found me," she murmured, turning her head only to laugh when she felt his warmth leave her back, the male sprawled out on the sand behind her. "Do you really like it that much already? I haven't even taken my jacket off yet, and you're already falling over in the sand on me." she chuckled, a little lighter than she might have otherwise, but they were at the shore alone, and besides, Joshua had always managed to bring out this happier side of her. That was part of why she'd chosen to go with him instead of following what her parents wanted and given up everything she was to be a part of Team Rocket. Let them give their all to an organization that was more or less. She'd take the warm feelings that she'd get whenever she was around her friend-turned-lover any day. Feeling a little playful, she bent over to give him a quick peck on the cheek before heaving him back to his feet again. It was funny, really, how she was a model but hated wearing female clothing, how she was held as a standard of beauty but only felt breathtaking when she'd see Joshua's eyes on her and know they were appreciating her. But then he always knew just what to say to make her feel special. Her hand came down, lacing their fingers together. Yes, he made her feel special. She only hoped that he felt the same way about her too. It just didn't seem right if she was the only one benefitting from their relationship, after all, not when he made her feel more right than she ever had back with her parents...

Taylor Joshua only wanted to relax, and find something to do that wasn't him running around like a crazy person. Or something like that anyway. Taylor had her own plans, he didn't say much about that. He'd rather not. Lately things had been a bit difficult but at this point it started to improve. Minus her randomly disappearing, and him almost missing her note. He could have spent all day searching for her if Ebs hadn't given him the message. But perhaps this was just one of those things that showed him he needed to relax. He'd rather do something else then stress on things. This was a world full of pokemon. He should be able to relax, but it didn't always happen that easily either way. Steps took him towards the beach and he just tried to remember what he was supposed to be doing. 'She's so cute...wish she'd open up more.' With a low sigh and silent actions he just moved closer to her. Joshua's arms wrapped around her body as he tried to rest instead. Why did this even matter, at this rate he was just going to end up fainting. From blood loss probably. Joshua felt so amused, and he loved this girl. Though he had a hard time with those people that liked to stare at her. They probably didn't give a crap she was taken already. His arms just held onto her as the two pokemon seemed to play with each other. Ebs liked Taylor's pokemon so they got along just fine. Mostly. The way she jumped when he touched her was always a bit of a worry. But Taylor wasn't instantly used to people being all touchy with her. So he had to understand that, and for the most part Joshua did. They could sleep in the same bed just fine. It had to be him sneaking up on her out of the blue like that. No doubt it upset her a little bit, and him slightly. However he did still understand her feelings. And he'd rather not end up hurting her by any possible means. That'd just keep on upsetting him if he did that. "W-well yea...I got a little lost, but eventually found you. Sorry if it took forever." Joshua only laughed then relaxed back in the sand, he felt fine here. It was good to get a day off. Even if it wasn't that much of a day off really. He still had woken up a bit stressed out. If only because she disappeared on him instead, which he didn't want. He felt really bad about that. And of course he should have woken up with her instead but it didn't happen. "well then take the jacket off~ so I can get a better view, and you can flop in the sand too." He laughed a bit as he spoke, really Joshua wasn't bothered with this. No she amused him in so many ways. Even if half those ways he didn't always understand. He'd rather not complain about these things when he didn't need to. He squeaked when she randomly kissed him then pulled him back up to his feet. Joshua knew he wasn't that heavy, but seriously he hadn't thought he was that light either. Maybe it was from lack of eating, or just forgetting to eat randomly who knew. Joshua had a lot of reasons to be concerned about his health. He held her hand and just moved over to kiss her cheek gently. He felt a bit nervous still about doing this, but as if Joshua would entirely let things get the better of him. No he had his reasons for doing things his way. And people had to deal with that, like her parents and those fans of hers.

Taylor hadn't meant to jump when Joshua's arms first went around her. She really hadn't. She loved when he was near her, really, and that wasn't something that was ever going to change. Joshua was safety, acceptance, and love; why would she push that away? Well, she might if they were around someone and she wanted to try to protect him, but other than that, she was usually quite content to have her body leaned up against his. The surprise of it had just startled her, and that's why she had reacted. She closed her eyes quietly and smiled, pressing herself to him. She loved when they were together like this. It made her feel like there was a reason to fight, and that was something she'd never gotten out of Team Rocket. And then Joshua fell back on the sand, and she turned to look at him. "Don't apologize," she murmured, a soft smile flitting across her lips. "The important thing is that you found me, and that's what counts in the end." And that went for more than just their situation. If Joshua hadn't found her back when they were in school, well... it was entirely likely that she'd be off working for Team Rocket right now, just as her parents wanted, and instead she was here, with him, doing something she loved. Even now, with him flopped out in the sand, she couldn't contain a soft smile, unable to resist the urge to give in to the cuteness that was her boyfriend. He seemed so happy right now, carefree... this was a good idea, taking him to the beach, and with a glance upwards to confirm that Maxax and Ebs were getting along just fine, she reached to tug him back up. "I'd take it off, but I don't want to get sand down inside my clothes," she chuckled, even as she smiled and tugged him back over to where she had left her shoes, their hands still intertwined. She was feeling greedy today, so when she stopped, she turned around and stole another one of his kisses, though this one was from his lips, despite being quick. She pulled away after a moment, a soft twinkling to her blue eyes that she knew full well he would be able to read as the affection that she felt for him, the entire reason that she had turned her back on everything she'd been expected to be just so that she could try to better herself and earn the right to have his gaze fall on her in the same way. "Help me out of this?" she asked softly. She may not have needed help getting out of a jacket, and ordinarily she would've just taken it off herself, but she didn't feel like letting go of him right now. Besides, she'd rather feel his hands on her anyway. Today was about relaxing from training and all the other stresses, and she'd be much happier spending time with him by leaning against him the same way she would when left to her own devices than if she was separated from him. She always was.

Taylor Joshua only wanted to keep attached to her for a bit longer. It wasn't like he got to see her like this often, but he also knew how she was. So Joshua had backed up, and just started to work on things. Like fixing his clothes, and getting some of the sand off of them. The two pokemon were just playing the background completely oblivious to anything else. They did this all the time really, and Joshua didn't mind. He loved seeing them play together. He blinked and glanced back up at her. She told him not to apologize? Well this was Taylor so he learned to just accept when she did random things. Which happened quite a few times. Perhaps he needed to stop being so awkward anyway. It might not mean much to anyone watching them but the small moments like this were good for him. For both of them. The things she had been involved in because of her parents were things he didn't like. Which was why he felt glad when she left with him. So what if her parents didn't like it, he didn't even care by this point anyway. His girlfriend was his, and no one would take her back. He'd fight her parents or anyone that tried to take her away. Simple as that. "I guess so. you know me I'd end up finding you one way or another." Basically. Joshua didn't give up no matter what was happening to him. Even if he had his lung issues trying to spark back up sometimes. Taylor knew all about that. He made sure to inform her after she stumbled upon him having one of his attacks during school. He had just been jostled around a bit too much then. He blinked, again. Really she didn't want to. Well he could understand that. But Joshua still felt a bit awkward that she could suddenly pull him back up. Like that. Either way he'd just figure something else out at some point. Right now he didn't need to worry. Having a strong girlfriend was not a bad thing, it was almost actually good if he thought it. Meaning she could take care of herself at the same time if he wasn't around. "Fine. Then don't wouldn't want to get sand there either." He laughed a bit, as if he was more relaxed. Though it probably didn't matter all that much. Joshua and Taylor were and always probably would be on good standings with each other. As long as they stayed away from those people. Her family, and the rest of that group they were a part of. He didn't pull back from her as they just kept moving. Really he felt fine letting a girl lead him. So what. People didn't know a damn thing about her. So that's why Joshua mostly didn't care what they thought about him. Or what he was doing with her either. It didn't matter. He blinked again and blushed a dark red when she stole that kiss from him. Seriously just what was she playing at. It almost didn't make any sense to him. But he'd rather not think much on that. Joshua liked to kiss her, and liked feeling her kiss him. That was all that really mattered by this point. Joshua only gave a small nod pulling the jacket off of her. Trying to keep hold off of it and her. After all he really didn't want to let go either. He wanted to keep her next to him. If he could for as long as he wanted. Joshua still remembered how shocked he was when she left her family just for him. "So I'm sure you made plans for today. What are they?" He asked as he moved the jacket off of her shoulders. One couldn't blame him for doing this could they? It wasn't like he wanted to shove her off just for other people so he didn't.

Taylor couldn't contain a soft giggle when Joshua glanced back up at her in confusion, tightening her hands around his even as she reached down with her free hand to brush a stray lock of deep brown hair out of his bright green eyes. "Of course I do," she murmured softly, the barest hint of a smile tugging at her lips, "After all, you always did back when we were in school." And, as much as she might want to deny it, she wasn't lying either: She had gotten into her fair share of fist-fights while they were in high school, still did, and somehow, more often than not, Josh would find his way there or find her wherever she had chosen to hole up and lick her wounds, a first-aid kit in his hands and a general set of his body that informed her quite plainly that he had no intention of leaving until he'd seen to her injuries. She almost wondered if he had a built-in radar for that sort of thing, but she never voiced the sentiment, deciding that she rather liked it. Joshua was hardly a threat, so why should she keep him from dressing her wounds when he was so much gentler and more thorough than she was anyway? The sound of his laughter brought forth another smile to her lips. "Wise decision there, Josh," she quipped lightly, her free hand brushing some particularly stubborn grains of sand off of his clothes, "since if there was any sand where it wasn't supposed to be, you'd be the one helping me get it out with the hose." Not that she particularly thought he'd mind that, but it was a valid threat that she'd gone through with before on Maxax, the poor Axew having to hold the hose while she wiggled underneath the spray trying to get sand out from between her toes, so hopefully it would be enough to deter him from yanking her back down. She may have been strong enough to heave him up off of the sand onto his feet again, but all he would've had to do was jerk on her arm to get her to tumble down into the sand beside him. Or, as they started walking, if he wanted to, he could've given her a good push into the sand and she would've gone down. Thankfully he hadn't, so she made it unscathed to steal that kiss from him, making him blush and her smirk faintly from the sight of it. She shifted under his hands, helping him take her jacket off and swapping hands so that she wouldn't have to let him go while he did it. "Usually you'd be right about the plan," she hummed, turning her head to the side to nuzzle his cheek affectionately, "but I decided that I'd much rather make it up as we go so that we won't have to worry about keeping up with a specific schedule." She turned around to face him, her crystal blue eyes sparkling softly from the depths of her emotion. "That's okay with you, right?" she asked, the closest thing to uncertainty that she ever expressed, even to him. "I mean... if you want, I can come up with something really quickly and we can do that..."

Taylor Why was he confused? This made him a bit awkward, though really he did love her. So of course Joshua wouldn't end up doing the wrong thing. Hopefully. The boy only smiled, and tried to shake off his confusion. He didn't need to think too much on this sort of thing anyway right? Mostly. He blinked and tilted his head Joshua just let her push the hair out of his eyes. Really he did need to ask her to cut it. Maybe she'd do it when she wasn't busy. Who knew. Joshua was out with her on a date right now. "Yea I guess so." Joshua might just be a bit weird with things but it wasn't as if he was just avoiding things. Perhaps he needed to deal with this in another way. Keep those negative thoughts hidden for awhile, after all Joshua had come out here for fun. Nothing else really. Taylor had always been there for him, and he did the same for her. A lot. Joshua would admit he had seen her change, from where her parents were. And just how things had gone. Really at this point Joshua only tried to relax, and when he finally did. Well it felt awesome. Joshua and Taylor? They'd be together for awhile. At least in his mind. It might be why he was just so protective over them. Or something. Finding her had been pretty easy. After all he knew how to get into her head sometimes. Most of the time if that mattered at all really. Joshua didn't need to leave her hanging. He seriously hated to do that to people. Mostly her. If he couldn't find her well then he'd really worry, and feel guilty. Not that people needed to know that. "E-eh? I guess so!" A wise decision? It wasn't as if Joshua had done very much, but let her say what she wanted. He wouldn't comment much on it, then he would try to do something else instead. Like watching the pokemon play, or maybe jump into the ocean. Not that it was very cold out here to do that. But still weather changed so quickly. Just shown by the islands and everything really by this point. His clothes had some sand still on them but Joshua just shook most of it off. Trying to get the sand away from his body. It didn't bug him really, he'd rather not think about that sort of thing anyway. "E-eh? The hose...well maybe. But yea I'd rather not do that!" It hadn't ended well for that poor pokemon so why would he do that? Joshua wasn't one to do that, he'd rather not upset her. She could be a bit scary and slightly bratty when she got pissed off and he knew it. He only blinked and tilted his head to one side. Sighing a bit he only shook his head. When he finally got to this point, Joshua just leaned over to kiss her. Just to make her stop talking. He was totally fine without the plan. Really it just meant he had to play along. And not run on a schedule anyway. Simple as that in his mind. "Stop talking so much, let's just go wander around really. come on!" He laughed a bit as he just took her hand in his. Wanting to go wander around and see what they might find. It didn't bug him not having a plan.

Taylor let out a soft sigh, glad that Joshua was here at her side. The pair had been through a lot together, really, and she wouldn't give him up for the world. He had seen what her parents and her own brother hadn't, and he didn't mind anything that she was like they did. She was enough for him, and that meant all the world to her. When he'd kissed her those few years ago, it had surprised her, yes... but it had felt right enough for her to give up a dream she didn't believe in so that she could follow him. Hell, kissing him still felt right, and she wasn't about to argue with something that she wanted to dearly. She giggled though, a soft sound that rarely left her lips in company aside from his, when he stuttered about her threat with the hose. She'd always thought that her boyfriend looked cute when he was awkward and flustered, and that wasn't something that was about to change any time soon. "You won't have to as long as you don't get sand anywhere it's not supposed to be," she purred, grinning, before she frowned at the mention of a plan. Of course, as she started talking, she was cut off by the feel of Joshua's lips on hers. The slightest pink crossed her cheekbones, and she huffed, trying to will it back down again. "Oh shut up, I was just trying to come up with a plan if you wanted one," she grouched, crossing her arms before she softened at the sound of his laugh and the feel of his hand in hers. She never could manage to stay mad at Joshua for very long before he would do something to make her soften again; that was part of why she had decided to go with him, after all. Her fingers curled around his hand and she nodded. "Fine, fine, lead the way then." She was more than okay with him taking the lead; it wasn't as if she had anything planned anyway.
