HISTORY & POKEMORPH
Alois was born the eldest of three children in a wealthy household in Castelia City in Unova. His mother, a real estate agent, was usually bustling around and had little time for him; his father, a business man at the Survey Office, had a little more time to spend with the boy, but that wasn't saying much. Some might have resented the fact that neither parent had much time to spend playing with them, but not Alois: He had accepted it and moved on. When he was younger, he was quite adventurous, fond of giving the maid in the house a run for her money, but when he was five, the two year old twin brothers disappeared in the middle of a crowded square when he ran off. Although the maid discovered the pair of them crying on a bench within ten minutes of their disappearance, her lecture and the experience frightened the young boy enough to prompt an entire change in behavior. He didn't run off anymore, and he didn't like playing hide and seek anymore. He was a quiet child, more fond of sitting on a chair and reading a book while his brothers got up to trouble. He had failed to do as his father had asked and protect the twins; he wasn't about to make the same mistake again. The praise he got for applying himself to his studies and showing a responsibility beyond his years was only an added bonus. He attended a private school where the discipline was harsh. Putting as much as a toe out of line would result in solitary confinement in the dorms for three days; Alois only had the tenacity to speak out of turn once before he realized that the resulting punishment was simply not worth it. He fell into line again, and although it rubbed against the instincts bred into him, he held his tongue and kept to himself, just as he was instructed to. He was a prideful thing, haughty and like a cat, and it was little surprise that as he grew, he attracted more than his fair share of admirers for his looks; his personality, in spite of the faults, was preferable to that of many of the other students since he would mind his manners unless irritated, and that made him into quite the target among the female population. In spite of this, he displayed no interest in them, and he much preferred his studies, taking a particular interest in both Pokemon training and English. In the meantime, his home life disintegrated. His father divorced his mother when he was thirteen and remarried the woman revealed to be his mistress before the ink was even dry on the court decree; Alois soon had a pair of half-siblings, but despite the neutrality that he displayed towards his new stepmother, he distanced himself from his family as much as he could. It was a sign of true affection on his part that, when the twins presented him with a Noibat egg, he accepted it, soon hatching the young Pokemon and bringing the dual type up to the ideals that he himself upheld. When he graduated at the age of twenty-three with a college diploma in English, he left Castelia to accept a position as a gym leader in Hoenn, far away from his family. He accepted, but the monotony of the days soon tired him, and he soon began to travel around the lands for a while, teaching at various schools but never bothering to stay in one place long before he was leaving again. Driven to his gym once more by the arrival of the shadows in his twenty-fifth year, he found out that he had long since been replaced by the man that was substituting for him, but he found little motivation in his heart to care. He and his Noibat intended to pick up and leave once more - for where he wasn't quite sure, but there were quite a few colleges looking to employ him - when he got a call from the twins. They wanted him to come home and make nice with their parents; and besides, they said, their father had something he wanted to ask of his eldest. With a sigh, the eldest Hamilton went to the new estate in the Romantic isles, finding that both of his half-siblings had grown up to become individuals that he could respect. He began repairing the relationship destroyed by his younger, bitter self, and then after a month had passed, he sat down with his father. The man had started a university on the Isle of Morpheus, and he wanted Alois to be the assistant headmaster and help him keep order among the students. Disgusted with the idea, Alois refused, not wanting anyone to experience the same kind of hell he had in school, and it was only on his father's begging and the thought of helping some of the other students that he agreed to take a position as the head of the English department. It is through his influence that the school has remained so open to students and "lax" on discipline, though no one would believe it with the way he teaches his classes. But he's been happier instructing there than he has in a long time, and not even the threat of the shadows has perturbed him in the least. Why should it? It's not as if it has affected him in any negative ways... | Persian Normal Limber Kuroya Eighteen |
