▸ DARKNESS - the entire world has been swallowed in it. Arceus has been the victim of a vicious nightmare from which it cannot awake, and these dreams have plunged the world into darkness. It's up to the Trainers of the world to reach deep within themselves and tap into their inner Pokemon in order to find the Light Shards to awaken Arceus and save the world from falling into shadow.

Fallen To Shadow is a literate Pokemorph roleplay set in its own separate "region" of the Romantic Isles. We are an animanga, 150 word count site that accepts all levels of roleplayers from beginners to advanced writers. Our birthday is the 13^th of November, 2013, and we intend to have many more to come!

▸ WHAT a busy week it's been! However, I'm hoping to do some general maintenance around the boards, so don't panic too much, okay? Let's see what's happened since our last announcement.

Our winter holiday event is about to end soon, so be sure to investigate the details can still be found here with the exchange located here. The sprigs will disappear shortly after the first of next month, so try to use them before then.

HISTORY & POKEMORPH

Joshua was basically a normal child, the middle child out of his family though his older brother left right after he was born. The family was a bit pressured. And fractured apart, but he still didn't notice. Barely staying at home from the moment he was able to talk and walk anyway. Joshua was kept hidden from those bad things in the world, his parents didn't entirely tell him everything. Stories sometimes but not much else really. Joshua's parents let him have pokemon when they thought he was old enough. Giving him Espurr that his mother had been keeping hidden. Now it didn't mean it wasn't used to people, the pokemon was just for him to raise. His brother disappeared once again after he got the pokemon. Not bothering to even pay attention to his little brother.

As he grew up he really didn't have any friends besides his Espurr. He'd keep the pokemon out of it's ball. Sleep in the same bed with it. Bring it to his bath, or even to school. When he could anyway. His friend was his Pokemon. And the few people at school that seemed to like the animal like creature. He didn't want to share with them, so he didn't exactly find it easy to make friends. That is till he ran into Sasha. He wasn't afraid of this girl who kept getting into fights on the playground. He only stood there, talked to her. And waited to be hit. But Sasha didn't exactly hit him. If she had he would just take it. Joshua didn't care much for the whole reputation she had. Joshua only saw Sasha as a friend even if she didn't treat him the same.

He didn't even think when he just claimed her pokemon was his. Just so her parents wouldn't try to take it away from her. The pokemon did like him after all. Joshua found it easier to make friends with Pokemon then normal people. Unless those people were like Sasha. Which most of them weren't, people could be so mean. As his schooling ended he remembered he might have to leave her which he didn't want. But he kept smiles for her instead. So she wouldn't worry about him or let those things get to her. Even with all that was happening. He didn't feel that worried when he would defend her, it was his nature. Being her friend and all. Joshua would never do anything to let her get hurt. Not on purpose.

Joshua still didn't like the idea of her leaving. But when Nineteen came around he had forced himself to accept it. Till she dropped a literal bomb shell on him. Picking to go with him instead of follow what her parents wanted. Before they were going to go separate ways he had admitted his feelings to her with a simple kiss. He didn't exactly know that this might have changed her mind, and brought her with him. He had been waiting for the boat to leave this place when she came up to him. Her hair cut short, and the Pokemon he saved in her hand. At least it's pokeball was. They have been traveling since then. Working together. It seems while she doesn't get along well with others she does fine with him. He's all about just having a world for pokemon and human where they can have fun together. And he wouldn't have this any other way.
