Permission given to do differently Nix has two levels to her, she is complex. She is on the top level will seem aggressive and sharp; she has had a hard life so it comes with that. She will snap at people sharply, she will answer people back and is more than happy to pull anyone up if she doesn't like them. She will point out that thing someone said was wrong or demand a battle from them to prove a point; she's very forwards in that way. This does turn on another level; she likes to look out for the little guy. Due to being bullied as a child, she will always look out for those being bullied or picked on and stand in for them. Whether this is in a fight with fists or a Pokémon battle, if she knows you or not and if she knows she would get hurt or not. She doesn't want anyone to ever have to feel like she did as a child, so she goes out of her way to help those she thinks need helps. Nix knows she is a good looking girl in the normal way, tall, slim and with odd hair. She doesn't like the idea of being good looking because she thinks people will only ever see her as someone pretty or as a prize to try to reach Now here we have level two come in. Nix finds Pokémon more relatable than humans. She thinks of her Pokémon around her as a family, not her Pokémon team. She also uses this as a way of mothering, something she finds she just enjoys naturally. Nix is a caring person underneath all her aggressive side. But she feels she has to hide this away because she and those she cares for will get hurt and she can't defend them if they do, she is the ideal person to be a mother or to find a close friend who she can really care for,but she doubts anyone will ever make it past her outer self. Another part of her is the bit around her looks, she knows she is naturally good looking,but dislikes it. She has seen girls who are shallow and spend all their time trying to be slim and look nice and she knows she is just built that way, she fears someone seeing her like that and aiming to have her as a prize or worse still, thinking she is "pretty" and so can't do or think anything for herself Quirks When she is going to fight/battle, she will tie her hair up with her purple ribbon She runs her hands through her hair to mess it up when shes bored She tries to avoid wearing shoes Likes Pokemon Battling Trees Purple, dark purple Dislikes Early Mornings The color pink Being told what to do People expecting to have her respect without earning it

HISTORY & POKEMORPH

Nix was born into a very well-known family of breeder, they aimed to get the strongest and best looking of all types of Pokémon and the same pattern followed in the family. They preferred their children to be born or married to those with blond hair or black hair, blue eyes only when possible. Of course there were some who bucked this rule ,but those some generally found themselves disowned and thrown from the family estate. So nix was an issue, she was born to the ideal set of parents, the right looks and the want to create beautiful Pokémon. They had even had a son already who looked ideal and was already trying to learn which Pokémon would breed with which, Lucas was two when his sister was born. And, it went badly. Nix had red hair, this was clear from the tiny tuft on her head when she was born and the later realization that those were green eyes and those weren't going away made things worse. Yet, she was their child and they would raise her as theirs, for all of about six months. Nix started to show a dislike of Pokémon breeding and loved to what the male battle over their females, she enjoyed watching different types do well against others and it was clear this girl was going to be a trainer if anything. So she was shut down. She was kept in her room with her nanny for company and to learn from, a cold nanny who was of the mind children were to be seen and not heard. So this was how nix was raised. She reached the age of seven and then the nanny was dismissed for not having done her job, nix still enjoying Pokémon battles and now had been found to be sneaking out of her attic room down a drain pipe to go and watch them. The girl was confined even more to her room, no company and merely a meal and book a day passed under her door for something to do. Not that anyone thought to bar that window shut.... Nix started to spend more and more time outside the house, she would wake up and eat the scraps she was given and then climb down the drain pipe and head out into the forest surrounding the home. There were many Pokémon there, some she knew and some she didn't. But time passed and they got to know the girl as little more than feral like them and so nix bonded with the forest Pokémon. She could never speak to them in their own way ,but she could watch them well. She worked out what they asked of her or needed from her though their movements and pointers. The way a mother learns what a child wants without words or a human understands a dog. The water types taught her to swim, grass types taught her the safe berries to eat and plants to try, fire types kept her warm at night when she didn't want to go home. But above all, nix bonded with an odd Pokémon. There was a vaperon that was a funny colour, nix had found her being picked on by a group of houndour and with the girls heckling; the female fought the Pokémon back. Nix and this Pokémon, she later named aqua, became good friends. The Pokémon even introduced her to her mate, a glaceon that had been released by his trainer that earned himself the name frost. They showed the girl that some Pokémon were born an odd colour and this was called a shiny, nix found this fascinating and now aims to find one of these Pokémon and befriend it for her team. Though things went well for the group, nix would sneak out each day and as she grew older, she stopped going back to the house. The family never opened the door to check on her so she started to spend all her time in the forest, and at age 14, she just didn't go back. However, fate is not kind. Keeping the mind of a child, Aqua soon took in nix as a pup of sorts. She taught her to hunt and to care for herself ,but the time came when her own litter was due. And, things went badly again. Nix knew she had no choice. Aged 15, she took the female and sneaked into the breeding huts of her old home and hide the girl in one of the back stalls, all Pokémon in the centre were those of the family of trainers who asked to breed their Pokémon so aqua was cared for by the staff until she delivered 3 pups. However, aqua did not survive. And, it got worse; one of the litter was small and dark in fur colour. A runt. Like nix had been. She heard the staff say words like "drown" and "better dead" and she was heartbroken, how could they do that to such a little Pokémon. Even a child forgetting the words to speak knew the pups needed saving. She took her chance as soon as night fell and dropped down from her hiding place and stole the litter away; she fled back to Frost and told him of the event. The poor male was heartbroken as the girl was, but he now had his children to keep him strong. Nix placed the Pokémon beside him, but even she saw the frown on his face. The runt again. The frown told her all she needed, the humans in the caring center had been right about the treatments runts would receive in the world. He also informed her of the genders of the babies, two boys and the runt was female. Nix couldn't take it. She thanked frost for all this help, thanked him for his mates help and then demanded he give her the runt. Knowing the girls heart, how caring she was and how he knew she had loved his mate, he agreed. He knew the child rate of living was not high. And so nix had to do something, she couldn't go home. She couldn't survive alone. She needed supplies. For the list time in her life, she went back to her room. She climbed in and took a rucksack of clothes and then turned to the door to sneak down to the kitchen only to find her brother standing in the door way. She started back from him and then saw his face; the boy had tears running down from his eyes. He offered her a bag of food and a big bottle of water and then something nix didn't know a round ball with a button that clicked. He also looked at her slowly before handing her a letter, of course she couldnt read any of it but she knew it had to be important and so she put it away with his other gifts. He had never done anything kind towards her, he had even got her in trouble and so in to beating as a younger child but something had changed in him. Whatever it was nix took his offerings and hugged her brother for the first and last time before she fled the home and whole region. Nix found herself sneaking on a boat and she hide under the stores for the time it traveled, she sneaked milk from the kitchen to feed her partner and soon the little eevee grew to the size her brothers had been. Nix named her shadow for the colour of her fur and the pair was soon bonded like nothing else, they were indeed sisters. Nix grew bolder as time went on and started to head out on to the boats deck with her eevee and she found herself marveling at the people, they spoke in funny voices unlike the sounds Pokémon made! They said new sounds and words unlike anything she knew, so she started to try and learn them. She didn't know what she said when the sounds came out but people turned and looked and nodded so that had to be good! She was found one day singing a song that she didn't even know by a girl, older than her and clearly amused by the girl who didn't know what she was saying. The older girl named herself as Gracie and offered to teach nix words for the remaining fortnight of the trip and nix took her up on her offer for the chance to meet a real Pokémon and a chance to read the kind letter her brother had given her, Gracie's partner was a Rufflet named Ruffle. Something nix found very funny. Nix watched Gracie battle with her partner in exchange for lessons in words and reading, giving rise to her wanting to help her eevee get stronger and evolve too! The trip ended all too soon and nix parted ways with her new friend, now able to speak pretty well and with the desire to make her own Pokémon team and to help them fulfill their life wishes. She had even learnt enough from her freind to finally read and understand her brothers letter to her, He told her that they knew she had gone missing but no one minded, she was an odd girl and few knew she was even alive so this helped them. He couldn't go with her or offer her any more help with getting in to trouble but she was still his little sister. This finally gave her some of the will to forgive him for how he had been towards her, they were children and he had known no better. Alas, fate was not done with the girl. She managed a week in the port before she and shadow went to leave the town and found a huge storm dragging them down the path, shadow was ripped from nix’s arms and dropped by the winds in to a river. Swept away in the saltwater, shadow was not found the next day. Nix spent a week scouring the riverside but found no hint of her eevee, she was terrified. It was at this point she learned of the real meaning of the darkness, something she had only heard the people on the boat speak of as she came to this new place. This was something in the world that made looking in the wild to find her eevee impossible and she found herself fleeing back to area safe within the "light". Now, for the first time in her life, she was alone without Pokémon. She set her mind right, she would get a starter from and she would find her eevee again! And so, that’s the path she is walking down now!
